Max Bresner
Max Bresner has led over $1.5 billion in real estate investments across multiple markets and asset types, including the acqusition of over 10,000 multifamily units. At Brikwell, Max oversees capital formation, asset management and operations. Prior to co-founding Brikwell, Max served as COO and Partner at BMC Investments (‘13–’21), helping grow it into one of Colorado’s largest multifamily owners. Max began his career in New York, having worked at Fisher Brothers, Gemini Real Estate Advisors, and White Acre Equities. Max lives in Denver, CO with his wife and two sons. He enjoys discussing big ideas over a quality meal, carving groomers on his snowboard, and explaining complex information with thoughtful design.

Jake Gannon
Jake Gannon is Chief Acquisitions Officer at Brikwell, where he leads the firm’s acquisition strategy and oversees sourcing, underwriting, and execution across the platform. He has acquired over $1B in multifamily, affordable, and student housing assets, spanning the full risk spectrum. Prior to Brikwell, Jake was with Cardinal Group Investments and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, and previously played professional hockey within the St. Louis Blues and New York Islanders organizations. He lives in Chicago with his wife and five children. Outside of work, he spends his time with his family, trains regularly, and is an avid fisherman.

Tyler Elick
Tyler Elick has developed real estate assets with $1.5+ billion of aggregate cost, with an emphasis on suburban and urban multifamily and commercial mixed-use communities. Tyler has worked at Forest City Realty Trust, Forum Real Estate Group, Holland Partner Group, and NexMetro Communities. He lives in Golden, CO with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys early morning yoga, playing board games and puzzles with his family, and working on his endless list of DIY projects.

Tori Schultz
Tori Schultz is a Colorado native with nearly a decade of experience in the real estate industry. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder and later completed a dual master’s program in Urban and Regional Planning and an MBA at the University of Colorado. Tori has worked across a wide range of project types, including office, multifamily, hospitality, and affordable housing developments. Outside of work, she is a busy mom of two young children and enjoys playing tennis and spending time outdoors with her family.

Ryan Pakieser
Ryan Pakieser is a Senior Associate, supporting asset management in executing the firm’s mission to create and preserve quality housing within thriving communities. Previously, Ryan developed the asset management platform at Trailbreak Partners. Before Trailbreak Partners, he held asset management roles at Grand Peaks and Broe Real Estate Group. Ryan earned his Bachelor’s degree from Fort Lewis College, where he also played collegiate soccer. Outside of work, he enjoys fly fishing, creating culinary experiences, and is passionate about experiential travel.

Pat Geary
Pat Geary is an Associate at Brikwell supporting the acquisitions vertical. Prior to Brikwell, Pat worked in acquisitions for a Chicago-based student housing and multi-family developer. Pat also leverages a strategic consulting background, working with Accenture Strategy on engagements with Fortune 500 clients across the Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail industries. Pat is a graduate of Bowdoin College, where he was a two-time captain of the Men’s Ice Hockey Team. Outside the office, Pat spends his time exploring Colorado’s great outdoors, pursuing his passions for fishing and hunting.

Eric Mah
Eric Mah has worked on construction projects totaling $650+ million in cost. Prior to Brikwell, Eric worked as a Project Manager for Suffolk Construction, where he draws experience in the Life Science, Higher Education, and Public Sectors. He has also worked for Cumulus Digital Systems, a construction technology company developing an industry leading quality management system. Eric enjoys challenging friends to new board games, exploring the outdoors with his fishing rod, and attending Boston Sports Championship Parades.

Eric Bottern
Eric Bottern joined Brikwell after completing his graduate studies at Duke University, building his undergraduate career at Babson College. While at Babson, he was recognized as NEWMAC Student-Athlete of the Year and became an All-American in shot put. His transition from Division III to Division I athletics instilled a disciplined approach to tackling challenges and executing under pressure. Eric brings a strong foundation in business analytics and a focus on structured, data-driven problem solving. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, tennis, reading, and struggling with crosswords.
